Welcome to the Care 4 Kids Program

What is Care 4 Kids?

The goal of the Care 4 Kids program is to make child care affordable for low to moderate income families in Connecticut. The program is a partnership between the State of Connecticut, the families in the program and the providers who take care of the children.  Care 4 Kids is funded by the Federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF). CCDF is the primary federal funding source for helping low-income families pay for child care.

The journey begins!

1. Start by completing the pre-screener to see if you may be eligible.  Click here to see if you qualify!

2. If you qualify, create a ct.gov login account to begin your C4K application.  Apply for Care 4 Kids here!

3. Submit a Complete a C4K application. A complete application includes all required documents to be uploaded (i.e. paystubs).

4. Care 4 Kids will review your application and see if your family qualifies for the program.

5. Care 4 Kids will notify you of your application outcome and next steps.
